We ordered chocolate mousse grand cru & cherry sorbet - melts in the mouth so light and delicious! And we ordered profiteroles that had vanilla sorbet, dark chocolate sauce and toasted pistachios on the top - amazing! Loved it Love the area around this place too it's located in River oaks district

I recently tried Toulouse on a trip to Houston and had the beef bourguignon, which was delicious! The outdoor seating was cute, but there were way too many flies buzzing around. Also, I had to send my cocktail back because it had lipstick on the glass--kind of gross. The waiter could've been more attentive, too. Overall, great food but some service and cleanliness issues. I might give it another shot, but I hope for a better experience next time!

The food here is hit or miss but you will always get a good atmosphere just try to get outdoor seating because that's where all the fun is, I don't like seating inside here. The salmon is always delicious and the sauce it sits on top of is very yummy. The escargot was the very first I've ever tried and the garlicky butter dipping was delicious with the bread, escargot is not for me but my boyfriend loves it and says it's awesome. The steak is not very good, it's not horrible but for the price you expect a great dish. The cocktails are pretty nice, the French 77 is my favorite. I also love the live music they have here sometimes. It's a very French establishment in the sense that you will find people smoking cigars here on the outside tables (not necessarily good or bad just something to note, if you want to go smoke a cigar and eat this is the spot, if that bothers you just know that's allowed here)

Hey family! So I wanted to do some fine dining and I grabbed my cousin and we decided to go out and get dressed up. I've heard great things about this place, so I decided to check it out. Upon arrival, the service was good. We were met with smiling faces and a staff willing to get us seated asap. We were escorted to our chairs within 10 minutes arrival. It was definitely busy and we were still able to find seating quickly. In terms of the food I'd give it a solid 9/10. Here's my breakdown. I ordered the Toulouse Burger, the Lobster Bisque, the Calamari, deviled eggs, and the vanilla latte. Everything was impeccable, my only ding came from the deviled eggs. You only receive four. I know that's an unfair ding, but I'm mad I didn't get more. In terms of the ambience, the music was rocking, and I saw successful beautiful people to my right and left. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear. I definitely felt like I was in the right place. Toulouse is definitely a spot you want to check out. Also, it's a great place for networking opportunities. All in all, the experience was phenomenal and I will be referring my friends and family.

Top French Restaurant in Houston! Reservations were made ahead of time and we were able to get seated right away in a high top. Started off with the Escargot and the garlic/parsley pesto-ish sauce paired well. Excellent texture on the escargot itself. My favorite app was definitely the Octopus Riviera. I've never seen octopus sliced so thinly and tasted super fresh with the lemon confit and the aioli. MUST GET! For the mains, we ordered 3 of them. The Beef Bourguigon was top tier. The braised short rib was so so so tender and easy to cut through. The pappardelle was fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything was seasoned! The Duck Confit really surprised me. The skin of the duck was crispy, but the inside of it was actually quite tender as well. Lentils was a good choice to pair the duck. The Lobster Risotto was also a favorite. They were very generous with the amount of lobster chunks that was given and the risotto was cooked to perfection, not a grain of rice was uncooked. The mascarpone cheese worked really well with the risotto. Was very very full at this point, but had to end it off with dessert. Can't go wrong with a creme brulee. Very creamy and top sugar was nice and crunchy. Just know Saturdays are going to be super busy. They had at least 60 servers running around, it was definitely a mad house. But our server/the bartender was attentive enough. There is also alot of outdoor seating, but it was wayyy to hot to sit outside in the middle of August. Parking - free within the River Oaks parking garage

I was so craving French cuisine in Houston and came to visit Toulouse Cafe and Bar. The location was great, you can't miss this restaurant, it has a mini Eiffel Tower right outside. The place was packed so if you're coming with a good size group I recommend you make a reservation. The staff was on it and worked together to make my experience a great one. I ordered the mussels and the French onion soup. The mussels were so delicious, I would definitely order again. The French onion soup, for me was very peppery. I had read someone's similar comment on here and had doubts but they were right! Overall, I enjoyed my visit.

Came here for brunch with couple friends on a Saturday. Parking is available in the nearby River Oaks garage or on the street. The outdoor patio was packed with brunch crowd. The sound of chatter, clinking glasses, and live music, created the ambiance of a bustling European sidewalk cafe. We chose to sit indoors for better conversation clarity, avoiding the need to raise our voices across the table. Our server was very friendly and accommodating towards certain dietary limitations. There are plenty of lunch menu items available, but I went with the brunch options. For drink, I ordered the Rosé all day Punch. The cocktail had an attractive presentation with the ice sphere infused with berries, but the overall flavor lack of creativity. The egg Benedict wasn't outstanding, but it was well-prepared and tasted exactly as one would anticipate from a traditional rendition. Overall we had a pleasant experience. I wouldn't mind coming back another time for their normal lunch/ dinner menu and sit on the patio to enjoy some live music.
